At least one person was killed and dozens injured, some seriously, when a passenger train derailed in the Netherlands this morning.
And emergency services in the Netherlands revealed that the train was carrying about 60 people at the time of the accident in the village of Voorschoten near The Hague after it collided with building equipment on the rails, indicating that the front carriage derailed and fell into a field, while a fire broke out in the rear carriage before it was later extinguished.
Dutch Railways said trains between Leiden and parts of The Hague had been canceled because of the incident.
