Google has announced a new account deletion policy for Android apps, which requires that apps that provide account creation have an easy way to delete accounts as well.
And the company confirmed that it will start implementing this policy early next year, and thus follows the example of Apple. Google added that it would ask developers to answer questions about deleting their apps' data in a Data Safety form by December 7.
According to technical sites, the developers' responses to the form will be reflected in the Data Safety section of the Google Play Store, which provides users with information about the application's data collection practices in the form of labels.
Google stated that, with this new policy, it will amend the data security section in the Play Store to better reflect the data controls available in the store.
