BUILDING YOUR POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE (PMA)
PMA is an inner knowledge of one’s capability, efficiency and positive attitude to achieving working result from endeavor especially with an “active mind”.
This definition begs further explanation.
Ones capability implies the knowledge that we can with dignity face whatever comes our way and make a way where there seems to be no way. This includes the challenges we face. Life is a school with unending lessons where every experience is a teacher and helps in molding who we will ultimately become hence no experience is a waste, no knowledge is a waste and at a deeper level we find that our past is full of lessons to learn if only we will sit back and reflect the role each experience plays or played for us.
PMA is about knowledge of our efficiency, efficiency does not mean academic qualification, it means an indefatigable will to achieve positive result from our endeavors irrespective of the challenges we face .
To whom much is given not only is much expected but much is capable, much is capable because life as a process has equipped us with the necessary skills and tools needed to blossom the best in us especially when we function from an active mind.
Efficiency comes from the knowledge of
“I can” attitude.
The Wright brothers were mere bicycle repairers when they started experimenting to produce the first plane and they were sucexful even when professors of physic were busy writing volumes using physics laws to prove that man cannot suspend metal in the air because it was heavier and will crash. They did not follow the academic doctrines; they just believed in their efficiency, in their capability and blossomed their best.
Efficiency also means welcoming challenges as a part of the process. No worthwhile endeavor is without its share of challenges or setbacks, these challenges are meant to teach the way forward, they are teachers. They are the best teachers cos when one starts doing something he has not done before, he is like a man walking in the dark, if he stumbles on something, he can mark that place as a spot to be avoided, this he is knowing how to navigate the terrain properly. So also it is with many endeavours we face, we learn from the challenges in it. So as leaders in the field called life, efficiency implies having the mental attitude of a winner and celebrating the sucex achieved along the way or milestones achieved.
An active mind is a mind that has realized the role it has to play in the grand scheme of societal development. It’s a mind ennobled by the fruit of responsibility, responsibility to fulfill that sacred function for which the person exists. Back of this is the idea that before birth each of us is endowed by a sacred responsibility to play in the garden we find ourselves. Everywhere is a garden that requires our attention and our effort to create beauty.
When a mind becomes active, it ceases to see things from the mundane physical sight, it activates the inner eyes of faith and imagination and it creates a way where there seems to be no way, this is possible because at such times the “image” within becomes the pilot of life’s events.
PRACTICALLY
1- What is the vision you stand for, what noble dream do you believe in or what idea do you secretly nurse within you.
2- (Think on paper) write out the idea. Please I do not mean the idea that will generate money for you as a biznes. Biznes is a by- product of our greatness. Think of the idea which will add value to society as a whole.

3- Brainstorm on where to start from, from where you are now not where you will start if you had so so and so.
From this perspective you are empowered to succeed against all odds. You don’t have any reason to be left behind in your set agender. You must always remember you can do it, begin to see everything that comes your way as a teacher along the path of sucex, see your sucex as inevitable as long as you are working for it.
