RIP Roger Decock. A flandrien who was celebrated in 2002, in his hometown Tielt/Aarsele, 50 years after his victory in the Tour of Flanders (1952). In a cabriolet, he waved to thousands of cycling fans. Even Eddy Merckx stopped to salute him. “A wonderful tribute”, said RDC.
