It is with great sadness we write this. Erin Remme – a dear friend of SPOKE’S, a bright light in this world and just a wonderful human being – passed away on Monday at the age of 35 from her long battle with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. She leaves behind her husband Josh, 3 beautiful children Carter, Reese and Harrison, and an entire tribe of family and friends. Erin is a life-long friend of one of our partners, @sarahannsundahl. We were honored to have been asked by Erin to produce videos for the Minneapolis Metsquerade – an event that donates 100% of the proceeds raised to @metavivor. METAvivor’s mission is to transition Metastatic Breast Cancer from a terminal to a chronic, manageable disease with a decent quality of life for those who have been diagnosed. Erin lead this fight here in MN and strongly advocated for this cause – building an army behind her to prolong the lives of other Thrivers like herself and to help find a cure for those who will come after them. Sadly, she could not be saved from this heartbreaking disease. But we will continue to fight in her honor and be a strong presence for this cause. Every day. Every month. Every year. Until we figure it out. Please watch this message from Erin, filmed for last year’s @minneapolismetsquerade. Rest in peace. You are so loved. ❤️
