Tibor Benedek was a Hungarian water polo player, who played in the gold medal squads at the 2000 Summer Olympics, 2004 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Olympics. He died of a brief illness on June 18 at the age of 47.

I just found out that one of my favourite Hungarian athletes, Tibor Benedek died this morning at age 47. Apparently he had some serious illness, I never knew it, so this is a real shock for me. I have seen him 6 years ago when he was the coach..

Nije samo jedan od najvecih vaterpolista, nego i jedan od najvecih sportasa svih vremena.
