Rest in Peace to Montecito Pictures Co Founder Tom Pollock. Smartest thing I ever did interning was go into his office on my last day and say hi. The man was full of enthusiasm and warmth even then. My heart goes out to his beloved family and loved ones

Tom Pollock was an incredible champion of motion pictures, and I had the extreme pleasure of working with him during the American Film Institute’s transition to an entrepreneurial business model in the wake of NEA defunding. His leadership helped steer AFI to continue and broaden its mission, and further its legacy, finding new ways to remain at the forefront of a rapidly transforming industry. Along with AFI director and CEO Jean Firstenberg, he taught me the value of hard work, personal relationships, and persistence of vision. He was truly one of the greats, and he will be dearly missed. Rest In Peace, Tom Pollock.
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
