Thinking of the Dancy family today. We lost one of #YEG ‘s broadcasting giants. Tim you were always ready with a great joke, a hilarious story & a solid piece of advice. You were a force to be reckoned with – you worked overnights, you learned #Instagram & you were an incredible mentor to my cousin Jordan (& me!). Thanks for always being our hero. ❤️ #RIP
So sad to hear about the passing today of friend and my former boss at ITV. Tim Dancy lost his battle with cancer. He fought hard and lived his life with such appreciation for his family and those he loved. Tim was a talented play by play announcer for the Edmonton Oilers and broadcaster, but even a better person and will be greatly missed. I’m so grateful we connected again in recent years. Please pray for Tim’s wife Joanne and his family.
Edmonton lost one of the best from our media group. Tim Dancy was a consummate pro. His calls on some of the most historical early Oiler/Gretzky will live on. As great of a tv guy he was, he will be remembered for being a fantastic person. #RIPTim #yeg yegmedia

Rest In Peace Mr Dancy. Tim was a good man, supportive and a friend. Will miss his wit, his care for the world we live in and his positive and constructive views on all things life, whether sports, politics or family were up for discussion.
