Short Bio

Bruce started playing golf at the tender age of seven, working as a caddy with his two brothers.

Born n Union City, Tennessee, He studied at Miami-Dade Junior College and Furman University.

At the age of 19, he became the third-youngest player to win the American Amateur Championship in 1968.

In 1969, he kickstart his international golf career at the Maccabiah Games. Bruce spent most of his career as a professional club player and won the PGA Club Professional Championship in 1989.

He was the first player to win back-to-back victories in the first two Champions Tour games, which helped him win the 1999 Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards. Bruce won 18 victories, including a major tournament-the 2001 US Senior Open.

He is proud of being Jewish, and as a supporter of the golf tournament held in Palm Beach every year, he keeps in touch with Maccabi, USA, to help the organization raise funds.
