Causes of Ellen Berends Muskegon’s Death…
The circumstances surrounding the actual cause of death had not been made public as at the time of writing this report.
The Taste of Muskegon committee on Thursday announced the unexpected loss of former Taste of Muskegon chair Ellen Berends. Ellen served as the chair from 2013 to 2017 and was instrumental in the organization of Taste of Muskegon, including suggesting the location change to Hackley Park.
Ellen also created First Fridays, which provide family fun on the first Friday of the month during the summer. The committee says Ellen created friendships throughout her time as chair that continued after she left.
She was loved and cherished by many people. She was known to be very kind and will be deeply missed, however her impact and legacy will carry on for generations to come through her family and the numerous lives she has touched.
She had a caring heart, generous attitude and a fun-loving personality that laid the foundation for years of lifelong friendships. It didn’t matter what you needed, she would be there to help you celebrate, mourn, fix things, build something or to just listen and offer a shoulder to cry on or smile to laugh with.
She was a friend to many people she came in contact with, a hard worker, caring, giving, kind-hearted, helpful, loved people, a hugger, and any others I could use to describe Ellen. Those who truly knew her, loved her, and will miss her presence, her laughter and her company
