Steve Demaray Cause of Death: IOWA CITY, Iowa – 70-year-old Steve Demaray, known as “shooter,” a former manager for Lynch Livestock, an Iowa-based pork dealer, died just days after being charged with mail fraud. Demaray passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021, as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident.
Steve Demaray was driving a truck on Highway 63 near New Hampton when he crashed head-on with a concrete overpass support pier Monday morning. Demaray, the truck’s sole occupant, was rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation, which was released on Tuesday, makes no mention of why the truck left the road and crossed the centerline before collapsing. This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
