Cole Anello car accident – Death: Cole Anello, a high school teen and a soccer player of De Smet high school passed away in a tragic car accident on Sunday, November 14, 2021. The car accident which took place in west St. Louis county, some minutes after 4 pm., claimed the life of Cole alongside two others, with two others also severely injured, according to the St. Louis county police department.
Cole was identified as one of the victims in a statement by the De Smet High School management, the statement reads: “The De Smet Jesuit community is heartbroken by the loss of Cole Anello. We offer prayers for Cole, the other victims of this terrible tragedy, their families, and their friends. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Marquette High School community. “Our counselors, faculty, and staff, are already supporting and caring for students and will continue to provide whatever they need in the days and weeks ahead.” The two victims who lost their lives and the two injured were identified as Marquette High School students, Rockwood School District said. The district sent the following statement: “Our sincere thoughts and sympathies are with the families, educators, and friends who knew and loved these young people. We have assembled our crisis team at Marquette and will have counselors on hand this week for students and staff who will need assistance. We will also be supporting the families and friends of our injured students to ensure they have the assistance they need. Our hearts also go out to those who are mourning the loss of the other person involved in this tragic event.”
Police officers investigating the crash said, a car which was identified to be a Nissan Maxima was traveling eastbound when it left the roadway, struck a tree, then caught fire. Five people were said to be in the car at the time of the crash, according to the police. The five people in the car were all identified as teens, three died at the scene, and two were rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. Investigation about the crash is still ongoing.
