On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, participated in the “World Youth Forum” inaugurated by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi this evening (Sunday), at the International Conference Center in Sharm El-Sheikh.

Prince Khaled Al-Faisal had arrived at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport, where he was received by the Egyptian Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Cairo, the Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Osama bin Ahmed Naqli.

Thousands of young people of both sexes from different countries and continents of the world are participating in the forum, through 24 sessions and 14 workshops that discuss various international, regional and continental issues and challenges.

Climate change, energy and development in Africa, terrorism and armed conflict, digital transformation and the industrial revolution, and social media challenges are at the forefront of discussion during the forum sessions.

This year, the forum will witness the discussion of strengthening cooperation between the Mediterranean countries in facing common challenges, ways to confront challenges related to illegal immigration, and activating the available positive opportunities in accordance with common interests.

The forum also includes several sessions divided into nine axes, including major international issues to be addressed through dialogue, round tables and free discussions, as well as a simulation model of the Union for the Mediterranean, which will be held on December 15 and 16, while the forum will conclude its work by announcing the final recommendations.
