Women's Development Committee

The Women's Development Committee was established under the chairmanship of Princess Abeer bint Salman Al-Mandil, wife of the Emir of Al-Qassim region, and the membership of 23 women from the region, with the aim of enhancing leadership in the quality of empowering women working in women's activities in the region, and to be an active partner in the Kingdom's ambitious vision 2030, and to enhance coordination between women's activities in the region, And linking them to each other and enabling them to train, qualify and develop and present them to be a pioneering role model.

Qassim Girls Council

With successive steps towards empowering women and raising the participation of girls to contribute to the service of the nation, His Highness the Emir of the Qassim region directed the establishment of the Qassim Girls Council, which is considered the first of its kind in the Kingdom, headed by Princess Abeer bint Salman Al-Mandil, the wife of the Emir of the Qassim region; To encourage learning and develop leadership skills among girls for a better future, as the council focuses on creative energies and talents and creating a healthy environment for the growth of women’s culture and enabling them to participate in decision-making.

Since its establishment in 2017, the Council has presented many initiatives and programs that have benefited approximately 270,166 thousand female participants from the region and beyond.

700 women in the Businesswomen Council

In order to enhance the great economic and developmental role played by businesswomen in the region, His Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal directed the establishment of the Businesswomen's Council in the Qassim region, which includes more than 700 businesswomen practicing a number of commercial activities, and presenting many programs and events in partnership with the Businesswomen's Center in Qassim Chamber, and this step comes because of the great role of women in creating and creating job opportunities, supporting, supporting and developing private sector projects, and contributing to building and raising the country.

Appointment of the first general manager at the level of government agencies

Recording the lowest unemployment rate for women in the Kingdom

Efforts continued to empower women in the Qassim region by providing many job opportunities through the Emiratisation program launched by His Highness, the Emir of the Qassim region, to serve the development of the country and empower its children, and to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as the program contributed in partnership with all relevant sectors and businessmen in registering the imprint of its business In the Saudi Labor Market Bulletin for the third quarter of 2019 AD, achieving the lowest unemployment rate for women in the Kingdom at 5.9%.

Qassim University driving school for women

Through high-performance equipment and technologies, and a gracious blessing from His Highness the Emir of the Qassim region, Qassim University launched a driving school for cars under the management and integrated national team of up to 100% and with high performance efficiency.

This comes from the belief of the region and all its sectors in such civilizational achievements, which are one of the fruits of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, under the guidance of the leadership, supported by God. With the aim of empowering Saudi women and involving them in building and renaissance of this benevolent country.

The first women's sub-municipality in the Qassim region

In accordance with the steps to empower women, His Highness the Emir of Al-Qassim region inaugurated the first women's municipality in the region on 2/12/1440 AH; To provide its municipal services in the oversight work, and to follow up the performance of women's economic activities throughout the city of Buraidah, and to contribute to the promotion of many awareness programs by launching various programs to activate the role of the women's municipality with all segments of society.

It is chaired by 17 NGOs in the region

As part of the steps and initiatives to empower women in the region and to enhance their social, charitable and developmental mobility, women in Qassim were able to chair and lead 17 boards of directors of a civil society affiliated to the branch of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in the region. To create through this a charitable movement that is growing in the hands of a number of leaders in these associations and serving their beneficiaries.
