A number of residents of the Zahrat al-Umrah neighborhood demanded, through Okaz, that the concerned authorities take action. To consider the list of vital facilities and services that the residential neighborhood needs, and to end their suffering, which has lasted for 13 years.
Citizen Khaled Al-Harbi (retired) said: “I have lived in this neighborhood for 13 years, and we are waiting for asphalting works in some of the sub-streets of the scheme. That rocky height endangers their lives and the lives of others, and the residents of the neighborhood submitted several communications to the Umrah sub-municipality, but to no avail.
Citizen Esmat Muezzin added: “There is a building under construction opposite the school. It does not have a guard. The school students visit it continuously. I fear for them that they will fall into the building’s reservoir and unforeseen consequences will happen. Therefore, the building must be fenced off to prevent students from reaching it.”
The citizen, Muhammad Al-Ruhaili, indicated that the concerned street is under pressure from the cars of parents and employees of the school’s students. This prompted the residents to open a small part of the street to contribute to resolving traffic jams.
And citizen Saad Al-Otaibi indicated that the neighborhood lacks a sewage network, pointing out that many families incur huge sums of money to withdraw waste water, calling for the concerned authorities to move to establish a sewage network, and to provide the services needed by the population, while completing paving and lighting works until the vital neighborhood facilities are completed.
