Twitter CEO (Elon Musk) confirmed that the ability to vote on opinion polls on the social networking platform will be exclusive to verified accounts, which will also have priority in recommending the platform.

And the billionaire posted a tweet specifying when the new policy would be implemented, and said: "Starting April 15, verified accounts will be the only ones eligible to be in the For You feed recommendations."

Musk justified the decision by saying: "This is the only realistic way to deal with the takeover of swarms of advanced automated accounts (on the platform), otherwise this battle is lost and hopeless."

According to technical sites, Musk, who acquired Twitter late last year, said: “Voting in opinion polls will require documentation for the same reason.”

And “Twitter” announced a few days ago that it would remove the authentication mark from authenticated accounts based on the old system that was in force before the company launched the subscription service (Twitter Blue).
