After deliberations that lasted more than 7 hours, the Alexandria Criminal Court decided, today (Sunday), to refer the papers of the accused of killing 7 of his family to the Grand Mufti of the Republic; To take the legal opinion on his execution and reserve the case for judgment next May 6 session, and the session witnessed the presence of the accused from his prison amid tight security, and he sat in the cage of the hall holding a Qur’an and a prayer rug.

During the trial in the case known as the “Alexandria Massacre,” the accused shouted: “I do not want a gallows, I want to be executed by firing squad..and I want a report from the telecommunications company.” He demanded a statement from the telecommunications company revealing the calls between him and his wife, saying: “ I did everything sensible and unreasonable to return.

The events of the case go back to the first week of last March, when a report was received from the people to the Alexandria Security Directorate, stating that a person had killed his family members with a firearm in his possession, and they are his wife, “Nourhan MA” and her mother, “Samah SA.” And her father, “Muhammad A.H,” and her brother, “Ahmed MA,” and his children, “Waad A.A.”, “Asil A.A.” and “Ya A,” and his fourth son, “Yassin A.A,” was injured. 8 years old, and he was transferred to the hospital, and it was found from the investigations that the accused emptied about 30 gunshots into the bodies of the victims.

And the Egyptian Public Prosecutor, Counselor Hamada Al-Sawy, ordered the accused to be referred to the Criminal Court, accusing him of deliberately and premeditatedly killing seven members of his family, and the attempted murder of his fourth son, while the Public Prosecution ended its investigations because the accused committed his crime intentionally and with previous planning for marital disputes, and for reasons obtained by the prosecution. Public in the papers, and submitted him to the trial after being reassured of the validity of the evidence of the incident and its attribution to him.
