Twitter has added two new features to subscribers of its paid service (Twitter Blue), namely: the appearance of ads by half, and the priority arrangement of the appearance of replies in conversations and searches.
The company's CEO (Elon Musk) had long promised that the number of promoted tweets seen by Twitter Blue subscribers would be halved. And now, the company has started implementing the feature, in each of the “followers” and “yours” diaries.
On the Twitter Blue support page, the company described the new feature by saying: “See almost 50 percent fewer ads in your “for you” and “followers” timelines. As you scroll, between Promoted Tweets or ads, you'll see almost twice as many regular or non-promoted Tweets as usual.
And the company added, “Sometimes you may see among the promoted tweets non-promoted tweets with a percentage of more or less than that.” And Twitter alerted that the advantage of appearing ads less by half does not apply to content promoted elsewhere on Twitter, and this includes, but is not limited to, ads that appear on profiles, ads that appear in tweet replies, and promoted events in «Twitter». According to technical sites, subscribers to Blue will be able to use this feature after completing a review of their accounts to verify their eligibility and applying the blue authentication badge to them.
