The FAI is very saddened to hear of the death of John Courtenay, the man who brought Umbro to the Ireland team and whose sponsorships links with the Association continue to this day through JACC.

So sad to hear about John Courtenay, saved @officialcufc when things looked so desperate.
Spoke to him a couple of times at away games and he loved th club and it’s fans and would do anything for us.
