It is with a heavy heart that I make this post. A very dear friend that was like a brother to me passed over the weekend, Cornelius Corprew. My heartfelt condolences to his wife Lisa, and the entire Corprew family. We talked a long time the day before you passed. I didn’t know that would be our last conversation. I am mourning your passing. Chris was a coach for many years, most recently the wide receivers coach at Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Fl. Chris helped thousands of athletes through his football camps every year. Chris has been apart of my life and family for many years. My wife, Angel, our kids, my sister, mother, and family members are very saddened by the passing of Chris. We all loved him. He was smart, fun, caring and always a gentleman. We coached together at Tulane University. I have spoken to so many people who were touched in a great way by Chris. His dedication to helping athletes, kindness, helpful ways to all and big smile will always be remembered. We celebrated holidays, birthdays, cruises, game days and most importantly the word of God together. Chris daily talked about is love for his daughter Gabby. I will miss his true friendship, our daily talks about sports, family, and God. Rest In Peace my dear brother, we love you but the Lord loves you best. Take your rest brother. I thank God for the life of my dear friend Cornelius Corprew. A life well lived, helping others and glorifying The Lord.
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as a family statement on the death is yet to be released.
