So sad to hear of the passing of Anita Stewart of Elora.
Canada has lost one of the greats – Order of Canada recipient, Food Laureate & incredible advocate for Canadian food & farmers.
We first met when she & her son Paul planned our wedding dinner.
Anita will be missed. RIP

Anita Stewart was the first to articulate the importance of Canada’s foodways and instilled a sense of pride in all that we have. A wonderful person with the kindest eyes—and an Order of Canada—she will be missed.
