He pointed out that the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts emerged with an idea from the Crown Prince, based on his vision of the importance of the role of the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts as a major contributor to the enrichment of Saudi traditional arts and its leadership locally and globally, to empower national capabilities in the field of Saudi traditional arts through a creative environment that offers educational, cultural and community programs. It works to preserve and develop Saudi traditional arts.

The institute aims to emphasize the national identity by enriching and promoting traditional arts, encouraging and training talents and abilities in the fields of traditional arts, providing educational programs that suit their aspirations, appreciating distinguished and pioneering craftsmen for their contributions in the fields of traditional arts, honoring them, and providing incentives and financial support to continue and publicize their work. Contributing to preserving the tangible and intangible assets of traditional arts, raising the level of awareness of traditional arts in the Kingdom, spreading them, introducing them locally and internationally, and encouraging efforts aimed at preserving them.
