Achmat Dangor Obituary – Death | Dead – Passed Away

Achmat Dangor Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished Achmat Dangor.

Achmat Dangor (1948-2020), South African writer [black consciousness activist; founding member of the antiapartheid Congress of SA Writers (COSAW); part of his oeuvre: Waiting for Leila (1981), The Z Town Trilogy (1990), Kafka’s Curse (1997), Bitter Fruit (2001)], has passed away

Heartbroken. How I love this image of the magnificent, gentle, mischievous soul Achmat Dangor, at a long-ago lunch. I was honored to know and work with him, a great writer, activist, and human being.
My thoughts with his family & all who loved him.
