′′ This Sunday, the young Brazilian cowboy Amadeu Campos Silva was involved in an accident at the Velocity Tour event in Fresno. He was transported to the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, California where he passed away. Our heart breaks for Amadeu’s family and friends At age 22, he was an athlete with many promises, coming to the United States after competing in PBR Brazil in 2017 and 2018 to pursue his dream of being a world champion. In 2019, he was runner-up in the Brazilian Finals and made his US debut on the Velocity Tour in Edinburgh, Texas; 11 months later, he made his debut in Manchester, NH. At the end of the 2020 season, one of Amadeu’s dreams of life was fulfilled: he rode in the PBR World Finals. This season on the Velocity Tour, he was again trying to reach the elite level. Amadeu was a rising star in our sport; a cowboy with so much potential inside and outside the arena.
