A Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted on US Election Day showed that Americans who cast their ballots for a new president seemed concerned about the country's direction and expressed their aspiration for a strong leader who could take back the country from the rich and powerful. The poll, in which more than ten thousand people participated, showed that the majority of voters are concerned about their ability to move forward and have little confidence in political parties or the media in order to improve their situation. Most also feel that the economy is geared in a way that mostly benefits the wealthy. And 75% agreed that “America needs a strong leader who would take the country back from the rich and influential, while 72% believed that the American economy is directed in the interest of the rich and influential, and 68% believed that traditional parties and politicians do not care about people. And 76% expressed that the mainstream media is more interested in collecting money than reporting the truth.

And 54% considered it increasingly difficult for someone like them to advance in America. The poll included 10,604 Americans who have already cast their ballots.
