Al-Hilal regained its prestige at the expense of its neighbor, Al-Nasr, after defeating it with two goals free of charge in the Riyadh derby, which was held at King Fahd International Stadium, in the match presented by the 25th round of the Saudi Roshan League.
The match started strong from the two teams, in which they exchanged control of its course, and from an elaborate cross from Saud Abdel Hamid, Ighalo hit the ball, and it collided with the hand of Abdul-Ilah Al-Omari, so that the referee awarded a penalty kick to Al Hilal, which Ighalo advanced to and successfully hit it as the first goal for Al Hilal (D: 42). At the start of the second half, Musa Mariga almost doubled the score had it not been for the brilliance of goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi in blocking Mariga's shot. Talisca responded with a powerful ground strike, and goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Mayouf shone with it and saved it, and with a wonderful individual effort from Michel Delgado, he evaded Al-Nasr defense, only to be blocked by substitute Jalaluddin Masharibov. Referee Michael Oliver calculated another penalty kick for Al-Hilal, and Ighalo also advanced to it and placed it in the same corner as a second goal for Al-Hilal (D: 62), and after 15 minutes (injury time), referee Oliver announced the end of the match, with Al-Hilal winning 2-0.
With this result, Al-Hilal achieves the 14th victory and reaches 49 points in fourth place, while Al-Nasr received the third loss and its balance frozen at 53 points in second place.
