Brian Prior Obituary – Death: Brian Douglas Prior of Tamaroa, passed away unexpectedly at the SSM Health – St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, Illinois.

Brian was born January 10, 1970 in Du Quoin, Illinois. He worked as a safety officer at Southern Illinois Motor Express and was a member of Nine Mile Baptist Church, where he played bass guitar on the praise team.

Brian had a caring heart, generous attitude and a fun-loving personality that laid the foundation for years of lifelong friendships. It didn’t matter what you needed, he would be there to help you celebrate, mourn, fix things, build something or to just listen and offer a shoulder to cry on or smile to laugh with.

He is survived by one daughter – Brenna J. Prior of Johnson City, IL, his mother – Lillie Prior of Tamaroa, four siblings – David Prior and wife Kathy of Tamaroa, Donna Jones of Du Quoin, Gena Lynch and husband Mike of Tamaroa, and Billie Jo Fikuart of Du Quoin, nieces and nephews – Luke Prior and Megan, Andy Prior and Jaclyn, Katie Hicks and Darin, Demi Gore and Kyle, Megi Negre and Sonny, Brianna Valentine and Adam, Becca Gauch and Clayton Hagene, Bradley Kurtz, Ellie Fikuart and Aaron Fikuart and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral Arrangements And Graveside Services

Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Paradise Cemetery at Tamaroa with Rev. Eric Drake officiating.

Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the cemetery.
Please use social distancing guidelines. Everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask.
Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to the Nine Mile Baptist Church or Paradise Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
