Chris Todhunter Death – Dead | Passed Away | Obituary
Chris Todhunter Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished Chris Todhunter.
Dear friends and fans of The First Casualty, it is with great sadness that I have just been informed of the death of Chris Todhunter, one of the stars of the book and original defender of the Falklands, from HMS Endurance. I found Chris to be a lovely man to work with, who seemed to always want to shy away from anything which might shine a light in any other direction than onto the Royal Marines of NP8901.
A successful naval fiction author in his own right, Chris led an action-packed and true “Boy’s own” lifestyle, following his true passions and his great heroes such as Shackleton down to the Antarctic, and served in the defence of Stanley. He was incredibly impressed with the result of The First Casualty and thought it did everyone involved the justice they deserved.
Chris had suffered with a long illness which affected his mobility and neural functions. With typical grit, he held on until the end of the 38th anniversary of the Falklands war. A great man, and a sad, sad loss… I am truly gutted.
Having heard about this great loss, the family of this individual is passing through pains, mourning the unexpected passing of their beloved.
