Cleo Ray Sloan Death – Cause of Death : A fatal vehicle accident on Thursday morning, November 18, took the life of one person identified by Virginia State Police as a 71-year-old Cleo Ray Sloan of Rocky Mount, Va. The single-vehicle crash happened in Franklin County, Va.
Around 12:35 a.m., Sloan was traveling with his 2003 GMC Sonoma north on Virgil H Goode Highway, one-tenth of a mile north of Doe Run Road when his vehicle veered left on Route 220 for an unknown reason and hit the guardrail. Authorities reported to the scene and pronounced the solo occupant who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident died at the scene.
Virginia State Police is still investigating the cause of the accident.
