Colm O Briain was an incredibly dynamic and creative force – amazing energy. He was probably before his time as
@labour
GS and served with distinction as Adviser to Michael D as Arts Minister. Then became Director of
@NCAD_Dublin
before retiring. A wonderful guy who I will miss!

So sad Colm O Briain has died. An extraordinary force: founder Project Arts Centre, Director of Arts Council, theatre director. Memories of him running – actually running – down corridors, as special advisor to Arts Minister, Michael D. Higgins. The rest of us far behind, always.
