Connie Denell Obituary – Death: GSN-Legendary Stellar Award and NAACP Award-winning radio announcer Connie Denell Cato-Dickerson the pride of Nashville, known as the “Gospel Diva” has passed away. Denell, died on August 24, after a series of surgeries and medical complications. She was 65 years old.

Denell was the voice for Nashville’s 92Q for decades before retiring a few years ago, when she was in need of a kidney transplant.

Connie’s passion for gospel music, and the artists who create it was unparalleled. She was a major contributor to the success of so many of the artists on the Motown Gospel roster, and across our entire industry. Thank you, Connie, for your service and your love.
