David Bratton Death – Cause of Death – The individual who died while fleeing from the scene of an alleged burglary attempt in Glenwood Springs, has been identified as David Bratton, 36, of Glenwood Springs. Bratton was involved in a crash on Four Mile Road on the 2nd of November 2021.

Garfield County Coroner said the burglary incident happened around 7:20p.m on Nov. 2, at a residence on Four Mile Road. The police said a forensic pathologist performed an autopsy on the 4th of November 2021 to determine Bratton’s cause of death, however, is still pending investigation.

When police arrived at the scene, Bratton allegedly fled the scene in a stolen vehicle, eventually heading southwest toward Sunlight Mountain Resort. Unfortunately, Bratton eventually turned around and began heading back toward Glenwood Springs then at some point after changing course, Bratton crashed into a ravine and died, a Garfield County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson originally stated in a release.
