According to police 49 year old DJ Erick Morillo has been discovered dead in Florida. He was found in his home in Miami Beach on Tuesday.
“We received a 911 call this morning at 10.42 a.m, to 5660 La Gorce Drive, said Officer Ernesto Rodriguez. Detectives have proceeded to the scene and are in the preliminary stage of the investigation.
The world-renowned musician death comes a month after he was reportedly arrested and charged with with sexual battery on a woman.
DJ Morrilo is known for his hit I Like to Move It, released under the pseudonym Reel 2 Reel, the veteran DJ was born im New York and lived part of his childhood in Colombia before he returned to US, where he began his career. Morillo was a three-time winner of the best house DJ prize at the DJ Awards and also won best international DJ in 2002, 2006 and 2009.
The reported incident is said to have happened at Morillo’s home in Miami Beach in 2019.
