La Liga president Javier Tebas attacked FC Barcelona again, after the Catalan club was involved in the bribery case of Jose Negrera, former vice-chairman of the Referees Committee in La Liga.

"This case is the worst thing that happened in the history of Spanish football," Tebas said, in statements to the Spanish newspaper "AS".

He added, "We see clubs paying arbitration leaders to try to influence the referees' decisions.. I hope we are wrong, but things do not look good because of the existing indicators."

He concluded, "I demand that Laporta lower the flag of his club, stop seeing ghosts where there is nothing … and help in the investigation (the Negrera case) as much as possible."

It is noteworthy that there is tension in the relationship between Javier Tebas and Barcelona President Joan Laporta, due to the Super League project and the CVC agreement.

Laporta calls for the establishment of the Superleague, but Tebas rejects it, and the Barcelona president opposes the CVC broadcast agreement, which the League League concluded with most Spanish clubs, according to reports.
