A train in southern Egypt derailed on Sunday evening, crashing into a village house.
In the details, the Nagaa al-Ikhsas area in al-Busailiya in Edfu, north of Aswan Governorate, witnessed the derailment of a train loaded with sugar cane and its entry into a house.
Egyptian media quoted the owner of the house as saying that he was surprised, while sitting in front of his house, when the cane train derailed and approached his house. He added that the train driver paid attention at the last moments and was able to stop the train before a disaster occurred. The effects of the accident were lifted to open the way for traffic, while the necessary legal measures were taken to refer it to the investigation authorities to reveal its circumstances.
