The Developer Services Center “Etmam” announced that it approved 37 plans with a total area of 52,819,634 square meters, in October, in various regions of the Kingdom. It also provided many services to developers, based on the strategic objective of improving the performance of the real estate sector and raising its contribution in the domestic product.
The Director General of the Center, Eng. Abdul-Wahhab bin Misfer Al-Qahtani, stressed the strategic role played by the Developer Services Center “Etmam” to overcome the obstacles facing real estate developers and owners of residential projects, which contributes to providing housing options for citizens and beneficiaries and increasing the appropriate supply to meet all different needs.
Al-Qahtani drew attention to the complementary role and fruitful cooperation provided by the various government agencies for the success of the initiative, and the facilitation of procedures and services that greatly facilitated the work of the Developer Services Center.
The Jazan region topped the regions with the highest percentage in the area of approved plans, reaching 24.1% of the total approved areas with a total area of 12,739,218 square meters, followed by Makkah Al-Mukarramah with a total area of 12,157,788 square meters and leading the largest percentage of the total number of approved plans by 24.3%. The Riyadh region came third with a total area of 8,057,383 square metres, the Asir region ranked fourth with an approved area of 7,971,751 square metres, and the northern border region ranked fifth with a total area of 6,271,556 square metres. It ranked sixth with a total area of 1,653,967 square metres, and the Qassim region came seventh with a total area of 1,605234 square metres, followed by the eighth place in the Najran region with an area of 1,503,087 square metres, and in the ninth place came the Al-Baha region with a total area of 309,853 square metres. And in the tenth place was the Tabuk region, with a total area of 301,329 square metres, and the Hail region came last, with a total area of 248,467 square metres.
In October, Etmam completed applications for building permits for housing units, with a total number of 518 units, with a total area of 568,024 square meters. The center also issued 14 certificates to qualify the real estate developer, in addition to receiving inquiries about the validity of the deed with a total of 32 certificates.
It is noteworthy that the Developer Services Center cooperates with the concerned government agencies related to real estate development and consulting agencies in order to review documents and plans to ensure that they comply with the requirements and standards, and follow up the request with the various authorities until the approval is issued and delivered to the beneficiary. The center also recently made the electronic link to issue building permits through its platform. Electronic with the Municipality of the Eastern Region, the Municipality of Riyadh, the Municipality of Madinah, the Municipality of the Holy Capital, the Municipality of Al-Ahsa, and the Municipality of the Asir Region.
The center is one of the programs and initiatives of the Ministry of Housing aimed at facilitating the real estate developer's procedures to support supply and enable demand, and to facilitate citizens' access to adequate housing with various options, high quality and reasonable price, which results in an increase in the percentage of home ownership, in addition to stimulating the private sector.
