Herbert Clinton (Sam) Myers Death – Cause of Death – 81 year old Herbert Clinton (Sam) Myers, of Stockport, sadly died on Friday, 12th of November 2021, at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. According to his obituary, Clinton was born in Pinch, West Virginia on the 11th of February 1940. Sam worked at the Central Ohio Coal Company for 30 years before retiring.

Before working at Central Ohio Coal Company, he was employed by Bucyrus Erie during the construction of the famous Big Muskie dragline. He served at Mayor of the Village of Stockport for six years and spent several years as a council member. Sam served at the Stockport Volunteer Fire Department and was a former assistant chief.

His obituary states that Sam was married on June 23, 1958, to Deanna Kay Radcliff, who survives. Also surviving are children, Toni (Kevin) Ross and Robert (Lynne) Myers of Stockport; son-in-law, Dan Keffer of Malta; grandchildren, Jeremy (Janelle) Keffer, Joe (Haley) Keffer, Sarah (Tommy Apperson) Keffer, Andrea Spears, Clinton (Chandler) Myers, and Randi Myers; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfathers, Delmar Cunningham and Robert Oiler; sisters, Joanna West and Ada Hosom; and a daughter, Lori Keffer.
