James Edward Scott Death |Eddie Charles Death
On Thursday morning, the Texas Department of Transportation reported three-trucks crashed.The driver and passenger of the Volvo semitruck died at the scene.
the victims were identified as 49-year-old James Edward Scott of Fort Worth and 39-year-old Eddie Charles Causey of Glenn Heights.
The incident occurred outside of Fort Hancock, Tx on Interstate 10 West.
According to Sergeant Couch with the Texas Department of Public Safety, it’s is confirmed that one of the semi truck caught fire after it overheated.
Preliminary investigation revealed traffic on interstate 10 had been stopped and backed up due to a truck tractor towing a semi- trailer and caught fire blocking visibility of the moving traffic.
According to report a international Lonestar semitruck that was towing a semi trailer, and a 2019 Volvo truck towing a semi-trailer behind, were stopped in the right hand traffic lane on interstate 10 at mile 67 due to the vehicle that caught fire.
