John… my sweet, funny brother.

A big piece of my heart will always be missing.
You will always be the one who made me laugh!
My memories are Forever Loving!!
I thank God you are my brother!!

Thank you to everyone who had John and his family in your prayers. Here is a post from John’s sister Rosemary.

My brother, John Vendetti passed away peacefully today.
My mom, Joan and I were saying The Lord’s Prayer and Hail Mary over John. He moved his head as we were praying. After we said our prayers, the nurse came in to tell us John had passed. John went from our hands into God’s and my Dad’s arms.
John, I know you are here with us. We LOVE you. Enjoy paradise.

Not sure how I ended up so lucky in life to grow up at a great time in a small town, sheltered, but allowed to explore endless parts of life.

I somehow fell into this crazy group of friends that have lasted a lifetime. I’ve been able to see one or two over the recent decade on and off, living so far away, but this photos is from the Annual Friends Vacation that I finally made it to. We were supposed to celebrate our 50th birthdays last summer at another one, but Covid stopped that. They’ve always been there and always will be.
I am at a complete loss for understanding this week. We are about to lose one of our own, one that was the glue, the drama queen, the most hilarious and loving person that made everyone laugh.
So many more years to spend together, reliving the past, creating more memories in our own unique way, broken now. I love you all. I love you John Vendetti and am sorry Troy Licklider and John’s family. I just don’t understand how this week happened and how something small could take him away. A huge hole has opened that I hope memories can fill and keep us moving forward. A little Overkill playlist to numb the pain today. Go in peace. We’ll always remember you.
