His lifeless body was located floating in waters off the river Sacramento delta – San Joaquin in California, yesterday Sunday was identified by relatives, authorities said today Monday morning.
Dive team agents took out midfielder Joseph Cairel, 29, near Indian Slough town, just west of the bay. The first sources report that Cairel arrived in the sector with some friends to spend some recreational time sailing on a boat and that’s when it got into the water Friday afternoon without it surfacing again, according to the Sheriff’s Office of Contra Costa.
Authorities said they don’t know how Cairel ended up in the water. The player’s missing report call came around 8:25 pm Friday night.
