Kurt coached at the University of Waterloo for 9 years and produced 3 Olympians who competed at the ’72 Olympic Games in Munich – Pat Bolger, George Saunders, and Ego Beiler.

Born in Bremen, Germany, Kurt, and his twin brother won numerous European tournaments. After immigrating to Canada in 1952 and settling in Kitchener, Kurt coached at the YMCA before taking on a more significant role at the University of Waterloo.
