JACKSONVILLE POLICE SHOOTING: Body Cam Footage
Body cam footage released September 1, 2020 shows Jacksonville Sheriff’s Officer E. Meckling responding to a dispute between roommates on April 11, 2020 at 5:13pm. Leah Baker, 29, swung a knife at Meckling, stabbing her in the arm. Off-duty officer JC Nobles assisted Meckling. Baker refused to drop the knife and charged at Nobles. Baker was shot and pronounced dead at a local hospital.
