Leo Cullen Cause of Death – Passed Away: BUNKER HILL, IN – Detective Josh Maller of the Indiana State Police launched an investigation into the death of prisoner Leo Cullen, 43, at the request of the Miami Correctional Facility.
Correction officers found 43-year-old Leo Cullen unresponsive from severe injuries in the N Housing Unit Dayroom around 10:04 a.m. Cullen was given CPR by a prison staff member, but he died as a result of his injuries. Investigators suspect foul play and are treating his death as a homicide, according to reports.
An autopsy performed by forensic pathologist Dr Latanja Watkins determined that Cullen’s death was a homicide caused by blood loss from multiple stabs injuries. There will be no further information released at this time.
Maller was assisted by ISP Sergeant Jason Page, ISP Sergeant Detective Josh Rozzi, Miami Correctional Facility Investigators, and the Miami County Coroner’s Office.
