So sad to hear of death of giant in LGBTQ2+ health.
“May we all be less judgmental & more accepting of others.”I had the privilege of his teaching as a resident & then the absolute honour of caring for him as his family doctor in Edm.#ThankYouDrWarneke

Dr. Lorne Warneke received a well deserved Distinguished Alumni award from @UAlbertaAlumni a couple years ago. I was on the awards committee and I remember learning about his incredible work as an LGBTQ+ advocate. We’ll miss you – you are a gift.

This is incredibly shocking and sad news. Dr. Warneke was one of Edmonton’s and Canada’s early LGBTQ2 pioneers & champions. His support for the trans community was groundbreaking. We’ve lost a true community hero. #yeg #LGBTQ2
