Man Found Dead In Jennerstown – According to Jennerstown Fire Chief David Robertson, the man was discovered close to the front door of Walat’s, a bar along Route atop Laurel Summit in Jennerstown known for producing burgers and big ham sandwiches.
Authorities did not release the identity of the victim.
Firefighters arrived to the scene shortly after receiving the alarm at 6 a.m, and met the rustic brick and wood sided building fully immersed in flames .
Robertson reported that it took 30 minute to get the fire under control. Route 30 was closed in the near area.
The Somerset County coroner and State Police Fire Marshal Trooper Seth Helman of the Greensburg barracks and Trooper Carl Richards of Ebensburg were on the scene.
