William Setaro, 64, of Worcester has been identified as the victim of a motorcycle crash that happened during a charity ride that was passing through Barre.

William died after being rushed by ambulance from the scene of the crash on Summer Street. to UMass Memorial Medical Center, a University Campus in Worcester.

It occurred that Setaro’s motorcycle collided with another motorcycle opposite him. This collision made him injured his head when he was tossed to the ground.

The other motorcyclist did not have life-threatening injuries, he suffered scratches and bruises.

A police spokesman said the helmet he was wearing did not provide adequate protection as it was not approved by the Department of Transportation.

According to his obituary, Setaro was a lifelong Harley-Davidson enthusiast who enjoyed taking part in charity rides.
