Cardinal Marian Jaworski, one of the closest friends of St. John Paul II, died yesterday evening at the age of 94. He was a retired Latin-rite Metropolitan of Lviv, the first rector of the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Cracow, and an honorary citizen of the city of Cracow.
