Markie Post Death – Obituary: Actress Known For ‘Night Court’, ‘The Fall Guy Markie has died at the age of 70 after an almost four-year battle with cancer. Her manager, Ellen Lubin Sanitsky, confirmed the news, saying, “She was beautiful inside and out.” Markie had a great run in the television world, most notably on “The Fall Guy,” “Night Court” and “Hearts Afire.”
In the movies, she played Cameron Diaz’s mom in “There’s Something About Mary.” Early in her career, she appeared as a dealer on the old game show, “Card Sharks.” There are lots of other roles: “Barnaby Jones,” “Scrubs” and “Chicago P.D.” among them.

What?! I loved her!! She was awesome. Sorry for your loss. Though mine and others who knew her shoes and movies too because she was one of the greats that eventually became underappreciated. Not by me though. RIP Markie!! Praying for you, her family and everyone else affected by her loss.

Sorry for your loss. Markie was a great actress. My husband and I started watching the show, Hearts Afire during the Covid shut down. We were expecting our 3rd child and things were so uncertain…we loved that show and she and John Ritter made us laugh so much. I also loved her in Dawson’s Creek. Prayer for her family. I know she’s famous for Night Court, but I watch Christmas in Handcuffs where you and her both are in. I watch that movie every year, multiply times. She was a wonderful actress.
