Family identifies Matthew Irvin, 26, as the youngest person in Oregon to die from COVID-19.
Health officials said he died in his home on July 10.

“I thought maybe it was just the flu,” said Matthew Irvin’s mother.

She said he was sick for four days before his death.

OHA said the death certificate lists COVID-19 disease as a cause of death or as a significant condition that contributed to his death.
