Mattie Moss Clark married Elder Elbert Clark, they both divorced in 1973 within the time the sisters started a music group.
Elbert Clark fathered Denis, Twinkie, Dorinda, and Karen Clark. Their gospel music career began in their father’s church, Berea Church of God on the city’s Westside.
